Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What does the travel agent want to receive by mail?
According to our studies, the travel agent gives priority to certain items according to the following scale (1 being the most desireable):

  1. Information about rates, commissions and bonus commissions.
  2. Catalogs containing packages for the next year with rates and commission structures.
  3. Reorder cards (cards used to request information or brochures).
  4. Newsletters.
  5. Hotel Rack brochure.

What format do you suggest that I use?
The travel agencies are organized around the Central File. In this file the agents store all the information that is considered relevant for the time when it will be needd.

Our recommendation is that you send a page, printed and formatted to be filed in an Ampo or fólder. This means that the left margin should be wider on the left and it should also have holes for filing.

How lond does the mail take to reach the recipient?
The mailing takes 1 tot 3 weeks to reach the recipient and it depends on the zone that the address is in. The United States is divided in 8 different zones being Florida #1 and the Northeast/Northwest #8. The mail category that we use is US Standard Mail, coded with barcodes.

Do I get to see the mailing lists to be used?
No. In the case of our mailing lists, you pay for the right to use them.
